TRAVEL GOALKEEPER TRAINING
July 2025 | 4-Week Evening Sessions | Small Groups
We're excited to offer GFR travel goalkeepers — and players aspiring to join the travel program — the chance to train with our professional goalkeeper coaching staff this summer.
WHAT WE TRAIN
Helping your team keep the ball Goalkeepers are the foundation of possession. We cover positioning, decision-making, and the full range of distribution — short, medium, and long passing, plus punting — so your goalkeeper becomes an active asset in buildup play.
Owning the area Claiming high balls is one of the most undertrained and game-changing skills in youth goalkeeping. We develop the footwork, spatial reading, communication, and courage it takes to dominate the box.
Technical fundamentals Handling, footwork, and shot-stopping mechanics are integrated throughout every session — giving goalkeepers a stronger technical foundation they can build on for years.

WHO LEADS THE PROGRAM
Our GK program is led by Chris Torres, a former Division I and professional goalkeeper with playing experience in South America and Europe. Together, the GFR GK coaching staff brings over 30 years of specialized goalkeeper coaching experience. Our goal is simple: give every goalkeeper the tools, confidence, and understanding of their role to reach their playing objectives.
