SUPER Y - SUMMER 2026

Super Y, also known as USL Youth Soccer, is a nationwide elite youth soccer league by the United Soccer League (USL) that runs during the summer to complement fall/spring seasons, offering high- level competition. GFR Super-Y will field teams between U10-U16 in both genders.

Super Y tryouts will take place on Saturday, February 7th, through Sunday, February 8th at Nike Park.

Times will be announced closer to the tryouts date.

Additional tryout dates will be on February 21st through February 22nd at Lake Fairfax Park. Tryout times & additional information will be announced closer to the tryouts date.

Information regarding GFRSC Super Y Uniforms will be released soon.

There is no cost to try out for GFR Super Y League teams. Selected players will receive an invitation to join the team along with information regarding registrations costs.

For the Summer 2026 Season, USL Y will be separating player age groups by school year. The updated USL Y age group chart is below.

• U10 (Aug 1, 2016 – Jul 31, 2017) - Boys/Girls
• U11 (Aug 1, 2015 – Jul 31, 2016) - Boys/Girls
• U12 (Aug 1, 2014 – Jul 31, 2015) - Boys/Girls
• U13 (Aug 1, 2013 – Jul 31, 2014) - Boys/Girls
• U14 (Aug 1, 2012 – Jul 31, 2013) - Boys/Girls
• U15 (Aug 1, 2011 – Jul 31, 2012) - Boys/Girls
• U16 (Aug 1, 2010 – Jul 31, 2011) - Boys/Girls
• U17 (Aug 1, 2009 – Jul 31, 2010) - Boys
• U18/19 (Aug 1, 2007 – Jul 31, 2008) - Boys
• U17/19 (Aug 1, 2007 – Jul 31, 2009) – Girls

The season consists of approximately 6 - 8 games. The majority of games will be played during the summer from mid-June through the second week of August. The North American Finals are held early December in Florida. **Note that teams who qualify for the Super Y finals are REQUIRED to travel to Florida in December to compete. Failure to do so will result in large fines.

Founded in 1999, the USL Y League is dedicated to the progression of future professional players. Averaging 700 teams since 2004, the USL Y League has steered the course for development of elite clubs, players, and coaches. Affiliated with US Soccer, the Super Y League ODP Program has opened countless doors for players to be identified for U.S. National Team Programs. The USL Y League contains the youth academies of Major League Soccer clubs, USL PRO clubs, PDL clubs and W-League clubs. The league also serves clubs looking to develop the game from the ground up.
