USL Y Summer 2026
What is USL Y Soccer?
USL Y, formally known as Super Y, is a nationwide elite youth soccer league by the United Soccer League (USL) that runs during the summer to complement fall/spring seasons, offering high- level competition. GFR USL Y will field teams between U10-U16 in both genders.
Our USL-Y program is a fantastic way for players to stay sharp, build relationships with teammates, and compete at a high level — all before the fall season begins. Benefits include:

Uniforms
For Summer 2026, GFR will be utilizing the current GFR uniforms. All new players will be emailed a link to purchase a kit through Sterling Soccer.
Costs
The registration fee is $600 for the Summer 2026 season. Registration fees are all inclusive for the program costs. Travel expenses for the USL-Y championships are not included.
2026 USL Y Season
The season will run mid-June through late July and consist of approximately 6-8 games. Please note that there will be no games scheduled during the July 4th weekend.
Practices will begin the week of June 15th, with girls teams training on Tuesdays and Thursdays and boys teams training on Mondays and Wednesdays. Games will officially begin on June 20th, with most matches taking place on weekends throughout the summer.
The North American Finals are held early December in Florida. **Note that teams who qualify for the Super Y finals are REQUIRED to travel to Florida in December to compete. Failure to do so will result in large fines.

For the Summer 2026 Season, USL Y will be separating player age groups by school year. The updated USL Y age group chart is below.

About the USL Youth League
Founded in 1999, the USL Y League is dedicated to the progression of future professional players. Averaging 700 teams since 2004, the USL Y League has steered the course for development of elite clubs, players, and coaches. Affiliated with US Soccer, the Super Y League ODP Program has opened countless doors for players to be identified for U.S. National Team Programs. The USL Y League contains the youth academies of Major League Soccer clubs, USL PRO clubs, PDL clubs and W-League clubs. The league also serves clubs looking to develop the game from the ground up.
