Data Tracking Applications

Soccer as a sport has become digitized with regard to personal performance tracking and recruiting. Player performance and development progress can be easily tracked by technology applications like UNO by Playermaker and INSTAT in combination with VEO or other video programming. These performance tracking applications have also become a big part of the player recruiting process.
GFR is a partner club with UNO by Playermaker. UNO by Playermaker is a wearable performance tracking and monitoring device worn on the outside of a player’s cleats. UNO measures player performance during training sessions, games and all the individual training hours and makes the recorded data easily accessible by smartphone using a mobile app. The UNO tracks 15+ technical and physical soccer-specific data points, including:

• Number of Touches
• Left vs Right Touches
• Possessions/Involvement
• Time on the Ball
• Average Time on the Ball
• Distance Covered
• Number of Sprints
• Speed of High Intensity Runs

INSTAT is a sports performance analysis technology, providing tools for individual and team performance evaluation and scouting. INSTAT collects statistics, video and provides game and player performance  statistic reports and analytics that helps achieve results. INSTAT recently partnered with the Girls Academy and colleges to provide video sharing and data services to help with the recruiting process. GFR is excited to expand our relationship with INSTAT after trying out the platform with the 2004 girls NPL-ECNL regional league team for the past 24 months.
