Phases

The GFR Elite Academy is a two-phase program.

Phase I focuses on shaping player mindset, rising technical development, and tactical understanding. During this phase, players explore the hard work and commitment and one’s interest and talent to pursue soccer beyond high school. This phase will introduce the opportunity to players to test their desire and build work ethic, advanced proficiency, and confidence. Teams will use UNO by Playermaker performance tracking technology that tracks player physical and technical statistics.

Phase II begins with the expectation that every player has maintained course on his/her individual development plan supported by continued player effort toward technical proficiency, tactical understanding, and physical and mental development. Phase II continues work on the aspects of Phase I, and focuses on a greater depth of understanding of soccer tactically and elevated game performance by players and as a team. Now, however, it is about competition, strong individual performance, and showcasing. Phase II is when college recruiting begins. Phase II is when professional opportunities are earned. The team will compete regularly in regional and national league events and tournaments. Teams will use INSTAT technology for data analysis as part of their performance measurements.
